How do valuations work?
You photograph an item, and our AI identifies its brand, model, era, and condition, then generates an AI value estimate. When supporting evidence is available, WhatsWorth adds source-linked market references. A reference is treated as sold only when the source supports both its price and sold status; unsupported rows stay out of comparable-based calculations.
Is this a professional appraisal?
No. WhatsWorth provides estimates for personal use — great for garage sales, decluttering, estate clean-outs, or curiosity. For insurance, legal, or tax purposes, consult a certified appraiser.
How do I get the most accurate results?
Add a closer-look extra photo — a clear, well-lit shot gives the AI more to work with and improves identification of brand, model, era, and condition. The AI may also ask you follow-up questions to pin down details that affect the estimate.
Where is my inventory stored? How does cloud sync work?
Your item inventory is stored locally on your device. If you sign in with Google or Apple, it syncs to your account so it's available across devices — and on Android you can toggle sync on or off anytime. Signing in also backs up a compressed copy of your item photos to your private area of our cloud storage. Deleting an item starts removal of its backup, but on Android that cleanup waits at least a week and runs when you open the app — so if you stop using the app, or it can't reach our servers, the cloud copy can remain. Deleting your account in the app (Profile > Delete Account) erases your backups server-side within 30 days and is the only route that doesn't depend on your device. Turning sync off stops new backups but doesn't remove ones already made. If you use WhatsWorth without signing in, photos are only sent for real-time AI analysis and are not stored on our servers. Do I need an account? How many free identifications do I get?
No account is required — you get 5 free identifications anonymously. Creating a free account (Google or Apple sign-in) gives you 10 identifications per month and enables cloud sync. WhatsWorth Unlimited removes the identification limit for AI value estimates; source-linked market references still depend on available supporting evidence. Subscriptions start at $2.99/week, $4.99/month, or $29.99/year.
How do I manage, cancel, or restore my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account and auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Because the purchase is tied to your store account, reinstalling the app on a device signed into the same Apple ID or Google account restores your subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google.
How do I delete my account?
You can request permanent deletion of your account — your profile, cloud-synced inventory, and cloud-backed image thumbnails — on our account deletion page. Deletion is completed within 30 days. Items stored locally on your device are not affected, and you can keep using the app anonymously afterward.
